Avatar: Fire and Ash – The Story
Pandora conditions are deeply unstable. Against expectations, the human invaders did not abandon Pandora after sustaining a crushing loss to the indigenous Na’vi. Instead, they doubled down on their attempts to pillage the planet. The Resources Development Administration (RDA)—a powerful, profit-hungry corporation from Earth—is now coming back with far greater economic goals and even deadlier weaponry.
That said, the RDA has now changed its sights on something new: an anti-aging fluid pulled out of the brain of a whale-like Pandoran creature called the Tulkun. As a human, it is… a pity that Tulkuns are highly intelligent, emotionally sensitive beings with their own language, culture, music, and poetry.
Unfortunately, to extract this fluid you have to kill them. But such uncomfortable details have never prevented human “progress” before. So taking advantage of an upcoming Tulkun gathering, the RDA is rubbing its hands together in anticipation of a wide — well — harvest.
Jake Sully — formerly paralyzed human Marine who entered a cloned Na’vi body, became a warrior, clan head, Na’vi husband and father — is coming through his own struggles. Jake, Neytiri (his Na’vi wife), and their children remain in mourning for their son and brother, Neteyam. The young Na’vi was killed under orders from the RDA. But grief isn’t all Jake and Neytiri is feeling. Their human adopted son, Spider, has a hard time thriving with his Na’vi family.
Humans can’t breathe Pandora’s atmosphere, and if Spider’s oxygen mask battery empties at the wrong time, he will die. Jake’s family think it’s no longer safe for Spider to live with them.
So they arrange for him to be escorted to safety by the Na’vi Tlalim clan, or the Wind Traders. And the constant threat of Spider’s biological father, Colonel Miles Quaritch adds to everything. While before he was killed by Neytiri, a digital replica of his consciousness has been injected into another Na’vi clone body. He doesn’t want only to take control of Spider—also in doing so kills Jake and wipes out the whole of Jake’s family completely.
But there’s another danger to look out for. Now on Pandora, the Na’vi are in a separate world fighting amongst themselves. The Mangkwan clan, or the Ash People, are at war with… nearly everyone. Their chief, Varang, is merciless and aggressive, and is willing to eat or burn anything that catches her eye. Yes, Pandora is in turmoil.

Avatar: Fire and Ash – Movie: Our verdict
The special effects and action sequences make it a big-screen theater experience with special effects that are beyond compare. But the story rings very familiar. There’s something predictable about the plot that dulls its emotional toll as opposed to the previous films. There is almost no mess on the technical aspect of the film, but there is no dramatic tension in which most elements play out.
