Ikkis Movie Release Date 2026:Review & 3 Days Box Office Collection

While everyone is engrossed in Dhurandhar, a director has clearly stated that he would never want to make a film like Dhurandhar in his life, and that it is not an ordinary film. This is the response of director Sriram Raghavan, who has already confused the public, and now Dhurandhar is trapped in his film. Ikkis is the name of the film and the identity of the real-life hero, who at the age of just 21 was awarded the country’s highest gallantry award, the Param Vir Chakra.

Mad Films, which doesn’t make films but discovers them, has once again brought forth a subject where, to understand the story, you have to get inside an army tank. Subjectively, both Sriram Raghavan’s film and Dhurandhar have the same theme: India-Pakistan. But there was chaos there, here there is peace. There was violence there, but here there is a bandage. Listen carefully: 21 will receive good reviews everywhere. People will never tire of praising it.

Ikkis movie story

Ikkis story begins with the life of a soldier who gets the opportunity to fight for the country for the first time in the 1971 war against Pakistan. Then he meets a 21-year-old boy who chooses his duty over love, family, and even his uniform. Not only the new India, but the old India too would attack the enemy. The biggest weapon in this war was our tanks. And who drove it? Our very own soldier, 21.

You might think this is a copy-paste film made on the same India-Pakistan formula. But since it’s a Matt Doc, it’s possible. You too will say this when you hear about a twist. Because as the story moves 30 years forward, an 80-year-old man is traveling from India to Pakistan for the first time. A Pakistani soldier is coming to receive him.

Surprisingly, the 21-year-old boy connected an army soldier on this side of the border with a Pakistani soldier on the other side 30 years ago.

Ikkis” is a film from which filmmakers and film actors can learn a lot. Filmmaking, camerawork, technical aspects, placement of music, etc. But you and I, the common viewers, might be confused after watching the film. Except for the first half hour and the last half hour, the middle one and a half hours might be a bit confusing. This is a film that quietly does its job, without heroic dialogue-drama, bloodshed, or loud displays of patriotism. It takes you directly into the war and keeps you silently engaged.

The film’s subject matter is strong. The portrayal of the real heroes is excellent. The India-Pakistan confrontation scenes are superb, and the supporting actors are great, and the tanks are believable. But to connect all of this, the most important thing was to connect the audience with the main protagonist, which is where the film falls short. There was some compromise in the casting of both the male and female lead actors. We may have won against Pakistan, but we don’t know when the film industry will be free from nepotism. In particular, when you see the picture of the real hero we are talking about, you will feel that he was not treated fairly in the film.

He deserved more than this. But Sriram Raghavan is famous for his film endings, and you will feel the same magic in the climax of ‘Ikkis‘, where emotion, action, and plenty of suspense will touch your heart. Some might question why this film seems so pro-Pakistan. Because the pairing of Jaideep Ahlawat and Dharmendra sir has strongly connected both India and Pakistan.

Now let’s look at the actors’ performances. Dharmendra has done a very good job in the role of Colonel Madan Lal Khetarpal. This is his last film. Even in that sense, people will enjoy watching him. Heartwarming memories will fill their minds and hearts. And let’s add, he has done a wonderful job.

Jaideep Ahlawat has also done a very good job in the role of Pakistani Brigadier Jan Mohammad Nisar. There is a lot of balance in his performance, and it’s a pleasure to watch him on screen.

Simar Bhatia, who makes her debut in this film, is quite ordinary in the role of Kiran Kochhar.
