He is an Indian attending college, only to be turned down each time.
Finally, in 2011, he received his debut film, Pyaar Ka Punchnama, where he portrayed the part of Rajat opposite Nushrratt Bharuccha and Sonnalli Seygall. His mother urged him to finish his engineering degree after the premiere of his first movie. He made a comeback in 2013 with Akaash Vani after graduating from college, but it was a box office failure. He once again collaborated with Bharuccha in this movie, which was also helmed by Luv Rajat, their PKP director.
Aaryan formally changed his name on the day of the release of Kaanchi: The Unbreakable (2014). Kartik Aaryan has never openly commented about whoever he has dated, although a lot has been claimed about his love life over the years. Actresses Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan, with whom he was previously associated, both implied in separate interviews that they had broken up with Kartik. During Love Aaj Kal 2, there were strong rumors that Sara and Kartik were dating. Similarly, there were reports that Kartik and Janhvi were dating during the filming of Dostana 2.
